The Rat Race 5K Fitness Walk and 5K/10K Run is a fun event the whole family can share while raising funds to benefit two wonderful “local charities:” CancerFree KIDS and CityLink Center.
The first 600 participants registered by April 6th will receive a wicking shirt with the famous “Rat Race” signature logo. Pre-registrants 601+ will receive a standard cotton t-shirt with the “Rat Race” logo while supplies last. First place 5K male/female run/walk and 10K male/female run finishers receive top awards. Family and friends are welcome to cheer participants along the course! Kids activities will be available before and during the race, so feel free to bring the kids along!
Immediately following the race will be a post-event party with refreshments, beer, food, live music entertainment, and a Health Expo featuring Fleet Feet Sports.
Pre-registered participants are eligible to win door prizes -- must be present to win! Non-race attendees may purchase entry into the post-race party ($20 for adults and $5 for children under 10). A driver’s license will be required for all party attendees who wish to drink beer.

Thanks to all of you for coming out on Saturday to run or walk the 10th annual Rat Race! It was our biggest year yet, even in the cold and soggy weather. Your participation has helped us raise money for our two charities – Cancer Free Kids and Hospice of Cincinnati.
If you were one of the top 3 overall winners in your event, or if you came in the top 3 in your age group, and weren’t able to stick around for the awards ceremony, we will have your awards at Fleet Feet Sports until April 30th.
April 21st, 2012 will be the 11th running of the Rat Race! Be sure to Save the Date!
